ok can you take a pic of case if you cant tell if its micro atx or atx straight?....side open....and DELL MB isant enough....as maybe you can keep your board with a new CPU ....and you dont have PSU info...its VERY IMPOTENT....youll need to have a 24 pin and a 4 pin on PSU to run todays MBs if that indeed is the right avenue for you

Well rick from what im reading theres not much diffs in cod 4 to cod 5 ...so perhaps your setting are wrong....and the whole "Mainboard : Unspecified Unspecified" thing dont help....the first link is mins for cod5...also i read that in win7 you need the update from microsoft for dx9 even if you have 10....also 4600 needs atleast a 400 watt psu recommends 550..also what monitor are you running....should prolly get on vent soon for more better detailed discussions buddy....

cavey not to step on your toes but another thing Rick should consider is 2 2gb strips of ram some decent gaming speed memory in that config can be had for $90 to $130 depending on brand, I recommend Corsair,or Crucial, life time warranty with both and I know for a fact they honor without hassle. Unfortunately your OS will only recognize 3.5 gb but performance will go up. His video card is more than adequate as I am still running 3870HD ati cards (crossfired). I found out a couple months back that Processor unlocks the video cards potential when I upgraded my proc to highest AM3 I was able to turn settings all the way up in Cod4 and WAW. Now MW2 i have run l level lower than top, depending on maps. As you say we need to know MB so we can find how high proc he can have and undoubtedly a bios update for MB to use the new proc. You can use chipset to prolly help Id the max proc but you have to have MB make and model to update bios correctly. Good luck and Cavey or Yager can definitely put you on the right stuff. I thing I hate about Intel procs are the upgrade cost. My new AMD quad core was less than I paid for the one it replaced....under $200 US. And ATI and AMD are now one and the same so ATI cards work better on AMD chipset boards.

I'd say you should select a matching pair of CPU and GPU.
There's no need to get the latest CPU and a crappy GPU or the other way around.

I recommend get a P35 or P45 Chipset MB and a small Quadcore and an 8800GTS gc that's good enough and even minimum spec for BC2.

yup i agree with both....but with out the MB specs I cant sugget anything....w/o MB specs ya cant get nuttin....like I think i said b4 if we can get a STAT on the mb we can suggest a CPU...I feel in this day and age ya need the quad core (although some will argue that point with the quality of duos out there) I just think that ya need to be up to par with your CPU or the next gen of equipment wont work in your shit anyway lol.....thats why im pressed on a new CPU for my lil hill billie buddy (although he aint that lil lol)
