well sven do i need a 64 bit cpu? mine is 32 bit only yes it intel core 2 cpu 2.4Ghz would htat run properly?

you have 64 bit cpu. it will run as smooth as the german tanks ran through the ardennes.....back in da day....lol
i would run it with 4GB of RAM though makes it even smoother |

Not for a desktop it aint....6600 in a desktop is QUAD...Laptop it can be DUAL ok.

You can find out with CPU-Z. Under CPU -> Instructions look if it says EM64T or AMD64. then you have a 64 bit CPU.
Otherwise look it up on the manufacturers website. |

Almost pointless getting a 32bit version, you can somewhat manage running 64bit on 1.5GB of ram if you are really hurting for ram |

just pop in your win 7 disc and run the install check and it checks for you to see if you are x64 compatible.... my laptop 2.5ghz dual core intel is x64 and it's quiet a few years old, 64 is the way of the future anything made fairly recent is x64 compatible. zrick you should be able to run x64 no problem too, didn't you just upgrade your system?

I run 64 bit home premium, cheaper than ultimate by far and does what i need, ultimate is chopped full of stuff the average home user will never use like the ability to join a domain and stuff like that
